About this Webinar
Many children with apraxia of speech experience challenges in the
development of social communication skills. Limitations in social
communication skills often impact a child’s ability to form satisfying
friendships with peers. In this workshop, strategies for helping
children develop stronger conversational and social skills will be
discussed. A program will be presented for teaching the skills that
support participation in reciprocal conversations. Games and activities
that promote interaction among children, even children with limited
expressive speech, will be described. The webinar is 1 1/2 hours in
length.
About the Speaker:
Margaret Fish, M.S., CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist working
in private practice in Highland Park, Illinois. Her primary professional
interests are in the areas of children’s speech sound disorders,
language disorders, and social language development. She provides local,
state, and national workshops on the topics of childhood apraxia of
speech, children’s language development, and social language challenges
affecting children with severe speech sound disorders. Margaret is the
author of the recently released book, Here’s How to Treat Childhood
Apraxia of Speech by Plural Publishing.

The Webinar cost is $35.00 per person

This webinar is "live," meaning that the speaker will address registered
participants in "real time" via the World Wide Web on the date and time
indicated. The speaker will present material on the topic followed by a
question and answer period, guided by our webinar moderator. The
audience will hear and view the speaker via computer screen. The
internet address for the webinar, along with log-in and password
information, will be sent to registrants prior to the webinar.
